Would You Be A Friend?
Friends of the Lawrence County Public Library
The Friends of the Lawrence County Public Library was organized in 1988 to provide financial support to the library in addition to funds allocated by local government. All proceeds donated or raised by the Friends are tax deductible and go directly to benefit the library.

How does it work?
Our organization supports the library through membership dues, volunteer work at the library, and participation in library programs. The organization is nonprofit and is governed by a Board of Directors.

Book Sale
Our biggest fundraiser is the biannual Friends Used Book Sale. One book sale is held in the spring, the other in the fall, and each sale lasts for two weeks. The library accepts donations for the sale year-round.

When Do We Meet?
The Friends meet at 9:30 am on the second Friday of every other month, beginning in January. We would love for you to join today!
